Has anyone had much experience with the peak deconvolution app? I'm trialing OriginPro for an application where peak deconvolution is necessary. I'm fitting data that has 7 populations/peaks, each with Gaussian distribution, none of them are baseline separated and many are just shoulders on other peaks. It's biological data so there's some noise. I've smoothed and constrained the peaks in a variety of ways, but continue to get fits that don't seem to follow the data very well even though the chi-squared says it's <1xE-6. As a comparison I fit it once manually and had it matching the data very well even though the chi-squared was over 200. Either something is wrong with how I'm using the deconvolution app, or the fitting algorithm is buggy. Any ideas?
