Hello Origin Users,

Attached is a mass spectrum with so many peaks (marked by red circles). Zoomed inset showing each of those peaks with a gaussian distribution. I want to normalize those peaks such that intensities from 0 to 1.
There are so many peaks in here; is there a way I can specify x ranges for each of those peaks and normalize all in one go?

Thank you,
Neena

This is because your data has large noise. Can you do the normalization with the two steps below?
1. Normalize the peaks as I suggested. But not to 0-1 but to a larger range, say 0-100000.
2. Normalize the entire spectrum to 0-1.

I will make my question more clear:

I finally want a mass spectrum with normalized intensities of all those peaks (completed!) and see the gaussian distribution of all those peaks in one spectrum (so I want to remove those white spaces in between).

Any insight would be appreciated,
Neena

Thank you James, that method you sent via animation works perfect!

Follow up questions:

1. Those red margins were deleted, however there are still black margins that I cannot remove (shown below).

2. How to remove those white spaces in the x-axis where I do not have any data.

Many thanks,
Neena

You can also try this app.
