Hello Origin Users,

I have a multi-layered graph template (4R x 5C); I want the same data (xy) to go into multiple layers per row. Although I can drag the data into these layers, it is very time consuming. Is there an efficient way to do this?

Many thanks,
Neena

Hi Neena,

Perhaps you are currently selecting the blocks of rows and dropping into each layer, and that is the time consuming part?

You can instead first drop the entire column into the layer (or use Plot Setup to add to each layer).

Then if you click on the plot, in the Mini Toolbar that pops up, there is an Edit Range button. Click that button to pop open dialog to set your desired X range, see picture below.

If this is something you repeatedly do and the range is fixed each time, you could save a graph template and re-use. If you need further help, submit a support ticket from here:

Hi Yuki,

My dataset is pretty huge (4 MB); instead I have shown here a schematic of what I am trying to do:

Is there an efficient way to transfer the same data into those 4 columns instead of dragging and dropping the same data into those 4 times?

I hope this is clearer. Thank you,
Neena

Hi Neena,

I am sorry that I cannot understand your question. Could you please send us your data and the template, and tell us what kind of graph you want to create?

You can send us the information via:
