I have 4 2D graphics in 3D graphic. I want to combine 1 and 2 graph and I also want to combine 3 and 4 graph. I will have 2 graphs in total. The first chart will have 2 lines (from past 1 and 2 charts), The second chart will also have 2 lines (from past 3 and 4 charts). How to do it? |

Posted - 09/08/2021 : 09:09:13 AM I forgot to mention, we have a blog about this https://blog.originlab.com/how-to-make-a-waterfall-graph-with-subgrouped-plots
Since it's more complicated than your case, i didn't mention it yesterday.

Posted - 09/07/2021 : 3:11:06 PM I see.
I am not sure what the GUI is like in 2015. Here is how Origin 2021b works.
Go to worksheet and in Comments row, enter 1 for all plots u want to be at z=1 position. Enter 2 for all plots u want to be at z=2 position.
Then double click your existing graph. With Layer1 selected on left panel, go to Miscellaneous tab. Set the Z value Source to be from Comments.

Posted - 09/07/2021 : 11:52:29 AM I can't picture the final graph u want?
What do you mean 2D Graphs in 3D Graphics? In the image of original post, there are 4 lines in 3D graphs. Do u want to 1. Plot red and yellow lines as two lines in one 2D graph. 2. Plot turquoise and blue lines as two lines in another 2D graph. 3. Show two such 2D graphs side by side in one graph window?
Or do u want to 1. Plot red and yellow lines as two lines in 3D graph. 2. Plot turquoise and blue lines as two lines in another 3D graph. 3. Then show them side by side in one graph window?
Maybe you can share the opju and describe what the final graph will be like.

Posted - 09/07/2021 : 10:20:43 AM No. I want to have one 3D graph. But so that instead of 4 2D graphs in this 3D graph, I want to have 2 2D graphs in this 3D graph. Each 2D graph has 1 line. But I want to combine lines from the first 2D graph and from the second 2D graph. And also combine lines from the third 3D graph and from the fourth 3D graph. I want to get two 2D graphs with two lines in each 2D graph. And so that these 2D graphics are displayed on one 3D graph.
I want the red and yellow lines to be on the first 2D plot. And so that the turquoise and blue lines are on the second 2D graph. |

Posted - 09/07/2021 : 10:02:56 AM I am not sure if I fully understand your question. Do u want the two curves at Z =1&2 show in one graph and then want two curves at Z=3 &4 show in another graph?
If so, u can duplicate the graph window first. Then in one graph, remove the curves at 3&4. In another graph, remove curves at position 1&2.
In Origin 2015, u may need to double click the 1 icon on upper-left corner to open Layer contents to remove plots on the right side to remove it from graph.
