Origin 2021b

I am trying to install origin on my M1 mac. Using originlab with parallels desktop proves to be very slow, I wonder if anyone else had this issue? I have only 4GB of virtual ram for the win 11 VM.

I am wondering it other people have tried other solutions (other than PD)

Hi Yang Wang,

Yes, currently, we strongly recommend to use Parallels Desktop. We think the M1 Mac with more virtual ram and more Virtual CPU core should have better performance.

Thanks,
Shirley
