help with obtaining the matrix from an image e.g. a tif image document.

I don't see a direct way, here is one possible solution.
1. Convert Matrix to Worksheet. With the matrix activated, select from menu Matrix:Convert to Worksheet.... Make the following settings and click OK. You should get the matrix data in the worksheet with X, Y values.


2. Calculate the peak position for each x. Click the column header name Comments and click the button Insert User Parameter in the mini toolbar. Enter the formula =table(This, col(A), max(This)) and click OK. The formula returns the peak position for the spectrum of each x value.


3. Plot it out. Copy the Peak Position vs X data, and Past Transpose to a new worksheet. Organize the data to plot.

Thanks for your response. Kindly find attached the image.

I obtained the ROI from my initial image, got my matrix data, and made a profile plot also. I will like to manipulate my y-axis i.e. instead of the intensity distribution, I will like to obtain the center of mass. against the pixel value on the x-axis.

You can go to menu Data -> Import From File -> Image to Matrix... To view the data in the matrix, you can select menu View -> Data Mode..
