Origin Ver. and Service Release:
OriginPro 2020b (64-bit)
9.7.5.184 (Academic)

Operating System: Windows 10

I save a lot of templates (graph templates, workbook windows, scripts) in the Origin User Files folder, however when I turn off my computer and turn it on the next day, the Origin User Files folder is cleared every time. I had to remake all my templates twice now.
What remains in the User Files folder are the folders 'Filters' (with my own filters still in there), 'OriginC' and 'Themes'. Also Log.json, MRFiles.ini and Origin.ini remain. But all .ogwu, .ogs and .otpu files are cleared. What am I doing wrong? I can save them elsewhere but then for example graph templates don't appear in My Templates under the Plot menu.

Can someone help?

Luc

Hi Luc,

Dow did you change the User Files Folder (UFF)?

Would you mind to try following way?

1. Select Window menu - Script Window to open a window;
2. In it type "del -path" and press Enter key, click Yes button on the pop up dialog.
3. Restart Origin, it should ask for setting up UFF, set it to a brand new folder.
--> will the problem still appear?

I used to have it on a server, but as I suspected that caused the problem, I changes it to C:\Users\"my username"\Documents (so local on my PC). The problem remains however.

Thanks,
Luc
