Hello, it´s me once more. I followed this tutorial (https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/2nd-nonlinear-axis) with creating "A New Layer" until Step 4. Then I noticed something strange. When setting X1=x1 and X2=X2, everything is fine:

HOWEVER, when a division is performed with x1 and x2 as the divisor, the results are wrong. For example, I want to transform the lower x-axis, given in 1000/K, to °C. The mathematical operation therefore is:
X1 = 1000/x1-273.15. The same applies to X2 and x2. As you can see in the following picture, the conversion is wrong. E.g., 1000/2.7-273.15 should yield 97, but it is above 100 in this case. 2.8 should correlate to 84, but is closer to 90 in this case. So what am I doing wrong?

1. Can you just use Ctrl + R to rescale the graph?

2. In Origin 2022, you can use the minitoolbar to add top x axis on an exiting graph. See below:

Dear James,
Thank you for your help. It works! However, I have two follow-up questions.

1) I can´t drag and drop new data to the figure and it does not update automatically. How can I manage this?

2) Is it possible to select data and create the plot out of the selected data? Because the only way it works right now is to create an empty graph and copy the data in it. This is quite annoying when one has to add new data, especially when there are multiple comments in the columns. Thanks again!

Please use this app for nonlinear transformation of second x axis.
