Origin Ver. 9.9.0.225 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2022 (64-bit) SR1
Operating System: Win 10

I try to plot lines in the multi-panel pattern. I imported the data files and clicked plot:multi-panel/Axis:4 panel. Then I selected the data column to be plotted in the plot setup window and finished the plot. The plot in each layer (there are 4 layers) contained two lines. I want to set the two lines to different colors, so I opened the "plot details" window but find there is no "group" tag in front of the "Line" tag, so I cannot set the two lines as independent ones and set their color separately, as what I can I in the basic plot mode.
Could you tell me how to get the "group" tag in the "plot details" window back when using the multi-panel model?

Thank you very much!

Hi Arthur,

By default we turn on Common Display for panel graphs. So plots in each layer have same look.
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/Turnoff-Common-Display

Please follow the FAQ above and uncheck Plot Properties if u don't want them to have common display in each panel.

Thanks, Snow

If u add them one by one, they are independent. But if u select both together and click Add, they will be added as group.
But even if they are not added as groups, u can select both and right click and choose Group to group them.

If the graph is already made, u can open the Object manager on the right side of workspace.
Right click 1st plot in each layer and choose Set as Group Begin to group plots.

Then Group tab in Plot Details dialog will show.

Thanks, Snow

Hello Snow,
Thank you. I have four data files for plotting in the four layers, each data file contains 4 columns for plotting two lines. In the 4-panel graph window, I click one of the 4 layers and select the "plot setup" menu to add the data. but whether I add one plot once or add two lines once, the two lines can not be set separately.

I can right-click 1st plot in each layer and choose "Set as Group Begin" to group plots, and the "Group" tab indeed appears, but it does not work. I check the "independent" option, the two lines cannot be set seperately yet.
