Greetings!

I format the X-axis title in the following way:
\b(%(1Y,@LL) %(1Y,@LD3) %(1Y,@LD4) (%(1Y,@LU))

What is the proper way to stick the preceding space to the field?
By sticking I mean inserting the space only if a field is non-empty.

Thank you.

Hi Andrey,

This is implemented in beta4 we just announced.
https://my.originlab.com/beta/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13457

Could you try it?
\b(%(1Y,@LL)\sc%(1Y,@LD3)\sc%(1Y,@LD4)\sc(%(1Y,@LU)))

1. Ignore empty parameters
2. Introduced new escape sequence to represent conditional space \sc

Thanks, Snow

Besides Long Names my table contains about 5 user parameters describing the column. I want to make a composite of their values in the X-axis label.

For example, I have Property (Long Name), Sample State, Saturating Fluid, PT (stands for pressure and temperature) user parameters in the table. However some of the user parameter cells are partly empty. In the latter cases I get double spaces in the X-axis label of a histogram.

What is needed is a conditional space character/field that appears only of the character adjacent to the space (to the left or to the right) is not a whitespace.

Hi Andrey,

This is currently not supported.
I have created a Jira ORG-24901 for improvement.

Thanks,

Chao
