Hello,
I type in A(X) in separate rows a, b and c.
I type in B(Y) in separate rows 5, 10, 15.
I mark A(X) and B(Y) and plot a column plot.

The plot shows 5, 10 and 15 over 1, 2 and 3 (i.e, the row numbers). Why is it not showing a, b and c as tick labels? I tried a lot of things, e.g., formatting the text to bold and cursive, right click on the column and format the cells to rich text, setting the column as y and then as x again etc etc. However, nothing works. It drives me crazy. Why does this not work?

Hello CP,
thanks for your willingness to help. I tried it again this morning and managed to fix the issue: Properties (of x-axis) -> Tick Labels -> Type was set as numeric (?!) and I changed it to Text from Dataset and picked the correct dataset sheet and column.

Can you show an image of the worksheet?
