Greetings!

I follow https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/InsLink-to-WksCell and find that the following syntax does not work in graph text objects and text tables:
cell://col(A)[1]
cell://A[1]

How do I effectively show contents from other cells in graph text/table along with my custom text?

Thank you.

Hi,

\Cell notation is only used for embedded graph or image. For numeric, please use %, something like
%([Book2]SheetB,@WL,A[1], W)

Thanks,

Nice trick!
Thanks.

It is worth adding the tip to Origin help.

Hi,

Please right click on the graph object and select Properteis

I set the substitution level 1, but the following syntax still doesn't work in the text object:
cell://[Data4Graph]Summary!G[1]

Dear Amanda,

I did as you suggested but got a table with the following syntax:
cell://[Data4Graph]Summary!G[1]

However this is not as was promised in https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/InsLink-to-WksCell.

Besides if I paste the line above in a text object, then the substitution does not work.

How do I show cell values in a text object?
I ask since graph tables support almost no formatting (bold, italic, etc.).
