Dear Origin community,
I want to plot a contour color fill from a set of worksheets that were obtained during in situ XRD. Each worksheet is a XY (dat files) with 2theta(X) and intensity(Y). Each worksheet represents a pattern, and are equally spaced in time (I mean, time from worksheet to worksheet is constant/30s).
I want to plot the contour color fill to show:
x axis - 2theta
y axis - time (all the worksheets, one after the other)
z axis (or colour intensity code in the contour) - intensity
Somehow I cannot find any tutorial on how to construct such plot from a set of worksheets (XY). Can someone support?
Best,
A

This was perfect, thank you very much Snowli

It sounds like you have XY pairs in multiple worksheets.

Are all X (2theta) the same on each sheet?

If they are the same, u have to put all Ys into same sheet so they data is like XYYYY (1 x column and multiple Y columns) before plotting.
The time info. of each Y column can be put to column label row, e.g. comments row 0, 30, 60, ....
Highlight such XYYYY columns to plot contour.

There are multiple ways to put Ys in same worksheet.
1. during import, u can choose import all files into same sheet, but from 2nd file on, only import the Y data
2. Using Worksheet: Append worksheet. columnwise.

If X data are not the same for each Y column, then u will need to do interpolation, etc. to make all XY have the same X first before putting all data into same sheet.

Thanks, Snow

You have to convert your xyz-data into a matrix first.
