I'm making a large number of graphs using identical data sets. The graphs have some visual formatting, such as certain scales and are rectangular in shape rather than the default square. I've made a template of this to use, however not everything gets saved to the template. My original graph is rectangular and displays only a portion of the data, the plot lines are thicker and font sizes increased. When I use my template, I get the right data and axis labels but the square default format and it displays all the data, rather than the desired area. Is there a way to make all the formatting information save into the template so that my graph doesn't need sigificant manipulate even after using the template?

Thanks
Arriety

Hi Arriety,

If you have 7.5 it might be easiest to create a Theme that includes all of the formatting elements you want.

1. Format a graph the way you like it.
2. Right click on the layer and select "Save Format as Theme".
3. Select the Formats you want to save, give the theme a name and click OK.

You can apply the theme to subsequent graphs using Format > Theme Gallery. Themes can be applied to individual graphs, all graphs in the active project folder or all graphs in the project. Themes can also be applied programmatically as described in the second post in this topic...
