I am currently trying to import the meta data from my studies (which are in either a .rpt or pdf format) as a note/object within my project. I've tried what I could find on the website a way of doing this (namely inserting object) but each time greeted with an error message that the object isn’t defined in registry. Is there a step I’m missing or an easier way to do this?
Thanks

Can you copy the metadata from the file to the clipboard? Then use the import wizard in Origin to parse the text properly. On the first page of the Import Wizard tool, you can specify the data source to the clipboard. See if it helps. Thanks.

Hey James,

So the PDF/rpt file contains lists of microscopy meta data and reference images for each expariment but not in tables.

Thanks,

ZTK

If you are trying to import a data table within a pdf file, please try the app below:
https://www.originlab.com/FileExchange/details.aspx?fid=587

If it doesn't solve the issue, could you share the pdf file?

Thanks
James
