Hello,
i have a problem, wants your guidence,
The following are the two counter plots, one contain a black line Cntr1 which in physics term is the position of separatrix , and in the second plot that Cntr44, is perturbation plot, i want to merge the two, from this i mean that i want to identify the postion of separatrix in the perturbation plot, i am also uploading the graphs, hopefully some body will help me how to merge the two counter plots.

Hi riaz,
This is possible by plotting two contours in same layer. Your OGG files did not both come thru - the links are to only one OGG and so I used some arbitrary data as follows:
1> Create two new matrices in Origin, with default dimension, matrix1 and matrix2
2> Fill matrix1 with values using formula sin(x)*cos(y)
3> Fill matrix2 with values using formula cos(x)*sin(y)
4> Make color filled contour plot of matrix1
5> Right-click on layer icon in graph and select Layer Contents
In the dialog that pops up, select matrix2 on left and click right arrow to add that to layer - this adds matrix2 also as a color contour plot - click OK to close dialog
6> Double-click on graph to bring up plot details dialog
7> Click on matrix1 and turn off the contour lines using control on right side - so only colors are shown for this matrix
8> Click on matrix2 and uncheck Color Fill Enabled check box so only lines are shown for this matrix - then turn on labels for this matrix
You can then adjust levels and what labels to show on 2nd matrix etc and get a graph such as pasted below.
Note that the color scale object only corresponds to matrix1 which is using filled colors. So to show the contour line values for matrix 2, you have to turn on labels - cannot have two "color" scales on the graph with this method.
