Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2022
Operating System: Win 10

I manage to color one line+point-plot with 3 colors according to an index column (column "test", values "1,2,3"):

now I want to use 9-plots-on-one-page layout. works fine, defaults to black lines, no points.

When I change layer 1 to look like described above: works ok.

However, when I change layer 2, layer 1 changes back. likewise with others.

I simply can't manage to make all plots look alike.

It seems to be that the index is defined as "respective data column + offset" instead of index = col(A)

Any idea?

Yes, by default, the modifiers of plots are set with offset.

Please go to Miscellaneous tab of graph page level in Plot Details dialog. And modify the "Match Modifiers by ... " to e.g. Long name.

https://www.originlab.com/doc/en/Origin-Help/PD-Dialog-Misc-Tab#Match_Modifier_by_.28for_template_and_copy_format.29

Then try to set color in any layer once more.

Thanks, Snow
