Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2018 b9.5.1.195
Operating System: Windows 10

I am attempting to input a simple formula to subtract two cells, with one of them always being the same. Ex: A1-A$1 (See attached picture for actual formula - Column Q)

However, when I press enter to execute the calculation, I get an error that says "undefined variable". But, if I input just H561, it returns the correct number from that cell so it knows there is a value there.

Any knowledge of what is happening?

Hello,

That syntax was not available until Origin 2020.

See: https://www.originlab.com/ReleaseNotes/detail.aspx?id=20202ORG-20118

Best,
Chao
