Whenever I try to change the name of the graph, it changes the short name by default. How to make the long name as the default graph name ? |

I suppose you mean renaming window long name in Project Explorer.
On https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Project-Explorer
there is a Note under "Rename a Folder or a Window or Add Comments" section.
Prior to Origin 2015 SR1, choosing Rename in PE led to editing of the window Long Name. You can restore the old behavior, by setting the System Variable @PERB = 0 (see documentation of @PERB).
