I'm currently working with microbiological data, and due to the large numbers involved, I typically employ a logarithmic scale. However, scientific notation can be a bit cumbersome, and I'm interested in a scale that only displays the exponent of the logarithm, similar to this example (https://www-users.york.ac.uk/~mb55/msc/clinbio/background/logarithms002.gif) rather than the full scientific notation as seen here (http://www.cs.utsa.edu/~cs1173/lessons/LogScaleQuestions/LogScaleQuestions_02.png).
I'm uncertain about how to create such a scale in OriginPro. If anyone has the knowledge and would be willing to assist me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it! :) |

You can go to the Axis dialog>Tick Labels tab>Formula and enter log(x). Your "Display" should be Decimal:1000.
