Origin Ver. and Service Release 9.6.0.172 (Select Help-->About Origin): 2019 9.6.0.172
Operating System: Win 10

Hello,

My dataset begins at 23:00:00 and ends at 03:00:00, with data recorded every second. I aim to create a plot that tracks the elapsed time from the start, spanning the entire 4-hour period. However, when I use the formula B - TIME(B1) to calculate elapsed time and the data crosses midnight, the resulting values become negative. Is there a formula I can use across the entire column to avoid these negative values?

Hello,

As of Origin 2021 we have a feature that addresses this issue with "Fix Time Wrap Around": https://www.originlab.com/ReleaseNotes/detail.aspx?id=20212ORG-21701

To solve your issue, please consider upgrading your Origin software. Once upgraded, you can simply go to your data and click on the header of column B to bring up the Mini Toolbar. From there, find and click the button labeled "Fix Time Wrap Around" to adjust the values after midnight.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best,

Nicholas G.
