Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 10.2.0.188
Operating System: Windows 11

I recently updated from Origin 2024 to 2025. I had an analysis template that worked perfectly okay, I was able to insert and delete rows with no problem. The template has a number of recalculate operations.

Upon updating to 2025, I can no longer insert/delete rows because I get the following error message:

Cannot delete/insert selected data because the operation listed below
does not have its input in the selected range and thus will not
trigger its recalculation to repair the output.

The EXACT same analysis template works fine in 2024.

Thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Could you share your file so we can verify if it's fixed inhouse. We are planning to release sr1 soon.

Thanks, Snow

Thanks for the suggestion.

Doing what you suggested does indeed insert rows but erases previously recalculated entries in the cells of the row above which the new row was inserted.

e.g.: I select 6 unlocked cells in row 10; there are 3 cells to the right that involve recalculations using values in those 6 cells. If I select those 6 cells and then click insert, then a new row is inserted. Now row 11 has 6 cells with the previous values but the 3 cells that involved recalculations are blank.

Hello,

This is a known issue in Origin 2025 and we are working on Origin 2025sr1 to fix this.

For now, you can select cells in input column (where there is no lock) to insert rows. Corresponding rows will be created in output related columns as well.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks, Snow
