Hello,

I have a problem in my scatter plots. I am working on chemical data and I am preparing different scatter plots. I normaly use a column (set as categorial) to give different colors to point. The problem is that all my points turn black, and symbolo color selection by indexing simply do not work. Any suggestion??

Hi Massimo,

The only issue our team can see is that Origin 2019b is not technically compatible with Windows 11.

Can you try to upgrade to a newer version of Origin?

Best,

Nicholas G.

Hello Nicholas,

my version is 2019b.

Everithing is normal for you?

Have you experienced the same issue?

Generally I create the book with data. After that i add a column (xrd group in the screen shot). I used this column to index every group of samples with a different color.

Normally, the function worked for the first 2, 3 plots, and different group of samples showed different colors.

After that it stopped working, and all points inside the next plots remained black even if I indexed all samples.

Moreover, when a I inserted the leggend (using the reconstruct legend function) inside the first 2, 3 plots, all points turned black.

Basically, the function work 2 -3 times, and after that it stops.

I tried everithing I could. For example I am able to change shape, or to connect samples with lines in the binary plot. I am also able to change line colours. It looks like a specific setting change automatically whitout any reason, and this happen just for the function "index by point".

I also tried to change color point by point, but with no results.

To be honest I do not know what to do.

Massimo

Hi Massimo,

I am having a hard time recreating the issue. What version of Origin are you using?

Can you provide a screen shot on your end when the issue arises?

Best,

Nicholas G.

Hi Massimo,

Can you please provide a .opju file that shows the structure of your worksheet and an example of your issue?

It will help us solve the issue faster.

Best,
Nicholas
