Greetings!

I need to Combining Line and Floating Bar plots on the same Graph.
I created two layers and want to link their X and Y axes as Straight (1 to 1). However it turns out that a Floating Bar plot is just a Floating Column plot with Exchange Axes applied.
This means that the X-axis of my Line-plot layer matches with Y-axis of the Floating Bar plot, etc.

What is the proper way to create a plot similar to one shown below?

Thank you.

You could do it in the opposite order if you wanted to. But it requires more clicks. E.g. you'll have to select XYY instead of just XY and you will have to Exchange axes.

I invite you to try it to see what I mean.

Got it.
Why the order is 1) Floating Bar plot and then 2) Line plot?

What is the proper procedure to add a floating bar plot to the same layer as line plot?

Sure, I have forwarded your suggestions to the developers for their consideration.

You flip the line plot which is XY. You don't do anything with the Floating column.

OK, I see what you meant now.
Nice trick!

Please discuss with the developers an idea of having real X and Y axes on Floating Bar plots, that is Xmin and Xmax, Y columns instead of X, Ymin and Ymax (currently).

Hello Andrey,

You flip the line plot which is XY. You don't do anything with the Floating column.

Note: You don't actually have to change your XY designations in the worksheet if you just use Plot Setup and choose the appropriate columns for the line plot.

Best,
Chao

Hello Andrey,

I think you can create your line plot with the X and Y designations swapped in the worksheet and then you can exchange the plot axes to bring it back to normal.

That way both the line and floating bar plots will have exchanged axes and match.

Best,
Chao

Not sure that I've got your point.
Floating Bar plot has 1 X-axis column and 2 Y-axis columns...
Can you share a sample OPJU, please?
