I have plotted data on a logarithmic y-axis, but I can not get the labels I want. Instead of 10, 100, 1000,... or 10^1, 10^2, 10^3,... I want the labels to be 1, 2, 3,...

Is there any way to do this. I tried the method in http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3692 but it gives me:

Thanks! I don't know how I misread that and used the "Text from dataset"...Works great now.

Hi kmcelroy,

You need to use "Tick-indexed dataset" with the D column of your worksheet, such as shown in the image below - see the Axis dialog settings. Note that with this method if you change the axis scale to say show more range, then you need to update the D column with more "log" numbers etc.

Hi:

Can you describe your problem in detail or post another clear picture again? I have no idea what's the problem in your graph, because I can label the Y axis by 1, 2, 3... ,using the method of the link.

Thanks

Larry
