Greetings!

How do I get just a single column from the target XML file?

How can I automate this behavior and save it as template for many XML files to used with Import from File?

What does B(Y.1) notation mean?
How should I work with this?

Thank you.

Hi Andrey,

In general: how do I import an XML file and remove the connector at all, since my XML is static and then run an LT script to remove unnescessary columns?

Would you mind to check if the paragraph "Run Script After Import" on page below helps?

https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Data-Connector#Run_Script_After_Import

After one sheet is ready, select Data menu - Clone Import to pick other files.
--> all others should import as 1 single column too.

PS, would you mind to send us a sample xml and which column do you want to keep?

Hi Andrey,

There is currently no support for partial import in the XML Connector. One workaround is to use a worksheet script to delete unwanted columns after the import. Would this be acceptable?

The number in the column designation notation simply represents the index of the current Y column. This helps users quickly identify which spectrum it corresponds to.

Thank you

Dear Yiming,

Yes, delete unwanted columns after the import will work for me.
How do you suggest to implement it: after-import script or somehow else?

As for the B(Y.1) notation: it is clear now.
