Origin Version: 7.5 SR4
Operating System: XP

Hello,

I want to import MS excel spreadsheets (which are created by the Keithley Interactive Test Environment) into origin.
Until recently i imported them (either by drag and drop, or by the menu open excel) and everything worked fine. Suddenly this does not work anymore! The window "open excel" still appears with the choice between excel or origin workbook. I havent performed any updates of either Microsoft excel or origin, or the Keithley software.

- if i open the file in excel (which works fine), save it, then the import in origin works.
- It still works on colleagues's computer (i mean: same excel file, same origin version on a different computer)
- If i choose to open it as excel workbook in origin, then the file is opened 36 times
- If they are more than one worksheet in the excel file, then they don't appear as a choice in the "open excel" window in origin.

But, again, it used to work fine. The only thing i did in the meantime, is to write and to run a script in origin to automate a few tasks. But i think i did not change any settings.

Have you ever heard of this strange problem?

Any help most welcome.

Not sure what's the problem, maybe you can send your excel file and script to tech@originlab.com and we can find more information on it.

Thanks

Unfortunately this does not solve the problem.

Any other ideas ?

It sounds like you could be encountering the problem outlined here:
incompatibility with your default printer driver

Please get the updated outl60.dll and let us know if that resolves the problem.

Thank you.
