I need to plot on interval 0-100, but I need major grid lines at 10 and minor grid lines at 1, the tickets only for 50.
Is grid lines ever connect with scale ?
is minor grides even 1/2 of major grides ? letīs say, could be 1/10 as on milimmetric paper ?

Hi Antonio,

Major/minor grid lines are fixed to major/minor tick positions but you don't have to show all tick labels. Try this...

> In the worksheet containing your data create a new column (C), double-click on the column and set Format to Text. Enter 0 in row 1, 50 in row 6 and 100 in row 11. Should look like this...

> Activate the graph and double-click the X axis.
1. On Scale tab, set Increment to 10 and # Minor Ticks to 9.
2. On Tick Labels tab, check Show Major Labels, set Type to Tick-indexed dataset and select the new column for Dataset.
3. On Title & Format tab check Show Axis & Ticks.
4. On Grid Lines tab check Major Grids and Minor Grids.

Resulting graph should look like this...

hi antonio
You can try to change the text box of the # Major Ticks Button and the # Minor Ticks button in the Scale Tab.
1.Double-click on the axis to open the Axis dialog box.
2.Select the Scale Tab
3.Select # Major button to set the absolute number of major ticks displayed on the axis. Type the desired value in the associated text box.
4.Specify the number of minor ticks to display between adjacent major ticks in this text box.e.g. 10
5.Click Ok to execute the change

i hope this will be helpful.Any queston, please contact us freely.
