Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 6.1113P & 7.5853P
Operating System: WXP

I have the problem that on opening a project always the last active graph window is not redrawn correctly. It happens in both of my Origin installations (6.1P and 7.5P).

Axes, gridlines, ticks and their labels won't get shown after having opened the project (axis titles are shown correctly). Only after pressing the "Refresh"-Button you'll see the full content.

Even if the active window in a project is a worksheet, the latest used graph window will be that faulty.

If you press "Redraw", save the project, close it and open the project immediately without restarting Origin, it works fine.

After a restart the problem appears again.

This is unnerving, because it often happens also in imported graphs in Powerpoint presentations.

Any idea?

Marko

P.S.: I checked again and noticed that this problem doesn't exist on my W2k computer, but does happen on the WXP machine...

Hi Barb,

oops, I saw this post too late. Now I already reinstalled Origin 7.5 on my WXP machine and the problem vanished (at least up to now).

BUT, the 6.1P installation still exists with the described problem.

Is there a similar fix for the 6.1P???

Regards,
Marko

Hello Marko,

I can't be sure, but I wonder if this problem might be due to an incompatibility with Origin and the default printer for your WinXP computer.

Could you download the OUTL60.DLL from this OriginLab Technical Support Knowledgebase item, and save it to your Origin program folder? Then restart Origin and see if this solves the problem?

Hi Larry,

reinstalling whole Origin I haven't tried yet. But perhaps that's the easiest way. It's only strange that it happens in both version of Origin.

Regards,
Marko

Hi Marko:

May be you can try to reinstall your Origin. You also can send your opj to tech@originlab.com and we will take a look at it.
