Hi,
Could anyone help me with plotting streamlines in Origin. I have plotted a velocity field and it would be very helpful if I could show the streamlines as well.
Thank you Dimitris. |

I think it will work better if you send an Origin project with data to your local tech support office so they can discuss details with you.

At the moment I am able to display a "XYAM" or "XYXY" vector plot (as shown in the link above), but I cannot find a way to insert streamlines of the flow in my plot (lines that a fluid particle will follow). I am sorry for not being clear but I am a relatively new user.
Thank you, Dimitris. |

Origin offers vector XYXY and vector XYAM plot. Here is an example of XYAM where another parameter is used to color the vector: http://originlab.com/www/products/GraphGallery.aspx?GID=21&s=8&lm=215
Note that such a plot can be added as a second plot to a layer. Thus for example if have your velocity field as a matrix (not clear what is the format of your data), you can make the xyam plot from your streamline data first and then move in the matrix into the same layer as a contour plot.
