I have a project which crashes Origin when I try to save it, that is, I get the "Origin 7.5 has encountered an error and must close" dialog box. I have searched the Knowledge Base without success. I am trying to create a single page with multiple layers. Each layer has a simple plot with one set of data. I have opened the data from an Excel spreadsheet.
I can create two layers and save the project, but the crashes occur as I try to add the 3rd and 4th layer, but not always at the same layer added. It seems that the problem is becoming more severe.
Thanks for any suggestions. I can provide more details if necessary. |

Posted - 02/06/2007 : 3:24:39 PM Could be an issue with the Excel file and/or the saving of backup.opj prior to saving your project.
This may be fastest resolved by calling us. In the US, you can call 800 969 7720 and press option 7 at the menu, for technical support.
Thank you, Laurie

Have you tried opening your Excel data in Origin worksheets and plotting that way?
