Hi all,
I've only recently begun using Origin, and I'm having a problem stacking graphs. I'm trying to created stacked line graphs as follows:
The first graph has X1, Y1A, Y1B, Y1C, Y1D as its series.
The second graph has X2, Y2A, Y2B, Y2C, Y2D as its series.
The third graph has X3, Y3A, Y3B, Y3C, Y3D as its series.
In other words, I want to stack three graphs, each with a set of X-values and four Y-value data series, none of which are the same. Is this possible?
I have found how to stack graphs with one data series on each graph-- I'm now trying to do so using four.

I assume that stack graph means a graph created by Plot > Panel > Stack which in your case plots Y1A, Y1B, Y1C and Y1D against the same X column but in separate layers. You want a graph with three sets or columns of graphs. I don't think there's a way to do that automatically but it's not hard, albeit time consuming, to do manually...
1. Create a graph window with the New Graph button.
2. Select Tools > Layer and go to the Arrange tab.
3. Select the NxM Panel option, check the Add New Layers option and enter Columns=3 and Rows=4.
4. Click the Arrange button and close the Layer tool.
5. Right-click the layer 1 icon and select Layer Contents.
6. Select the first dataset (say Data1_Y1A), click the => button and then OK.
7. Likewise add Data1_Y1B to layer 4, Data1_Y1C to layer 7 and Data1_Y1D to layer 10.
8. Do the same for the remaining datasets. If you are unsure of the layer number select the layer itself and see which icon is depressed.
