Hello!!!

I'm new in Origin, it's very powerfull tool and as a greenhorn i have a problem with converting data to matrix.

I generated some data (3 columns X,Y,Z). Then i've transformed those data into matrix (Random XYZ, WieghtedAverage) and plotted with Contour -- Color. I noticed that this matrix consists of my data (generated by Mathematica) and some extra data generated by algorthim of weighted average. These extra data make my plot completely unusefull. Can do the convertion to matrix with extra data equal to "0". Is is possible?

This is my contour - color plot

but it should be in borders of this plot

How can i do it?

Sorry for my English.

Thanks for every help.

Oh, sorry. This feature is not available in Origin 75, we added it in Origin 80, and we still working on it.

Thanks for your help Larry_lan.

Can you exactly tell me how can i do this "data boundary" contour plot. Maybe i have an access to the Origin v.7.5 at university.

Thanks for replay

Hi:

I understand your problem, you need a "Data Boundary" contour. I would say Origin 7 do not support this feature. We have added it in our next version.

Thanks
