Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5 SR6
Operating System: Win 2000

Hi,

I think I knew how to do this a few years back but can anyone please help / remind me?

What I want to do is to have users receive a message but only the first time an application is used or updated. To do this I would like or need to save a variable to an origin 'system' file in the client folder ie store a user defined system variable.
This can be set to a value such that I know if the message has been already displayed.

Thanks,

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Pete,

Perhaps you mean the Sysvar file?
