When using the Fit Comparison tool with a simple Line model, Origin outputs the F-Test results as well as a t-Test result comparing the intercepts and slopes of the two linear fits. The algorithm behind this t-Test is not in the documentation; does anybody have any ideas as to how exactly this is performed? I assume it's some kind of hypothesis test, but I'm not sure exactly what the test statistic is or what data is used.

NB-I admit that statistics is not my strong point, but I can usually follow things through.

Thanks for your time!
