Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 8
Operating System:XP

I successfully followed the tutorial entitled "Plot 3D" which leads through the steps of converting XYZ data to a randomly gridded matrix.

Next, I imported my own data to repeat the process. But when I selected WORKSHEET|Convert to Matrix|XYZ Gridding|Open Dialog... nothing happened --No dialog box... Nothing. I tried 1.<Last Used>. Again, nothing.

I re-imported the XYZ gaussian data used for the tutorial and tried converting it. Nothing. I closed Origin and restarted it, etc. All with no results.

I've tried it in v.7.5, and it seems to work fine, but not in 8. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Chris

Thank you. The workaround worked!

Sorry for this inconvenience for you. And it will work fine in SR1.

A workaround to make it workable in SR0 is to :

Open arbitrary dialog, such as Statistics on Columns, before you open the XYZ Gridding.

Thanks
Fay
