Hello,

Might be a stupid question, but how can I make Regressio analysis with Dummy variables with Orgin? Where to add these Dummy varaibles?

Hi,

Do you mean something like this:
http://dss.princeton.edu/online_help/analysis/dummy_variables.htm
where categories are involved and you want to deal with categories in your fitting?

Do you have say x,y data and a third column with some categorical value? Certain statistical tools in Origin 8 such as stats on cols now support category/group variable, but the regression tools do not. So you would then have to separate out the groups based on category value and fit each group separately, to perform regression from the GUI.

Maybe you can post/send your data and specifics to tech support?
