just need some help in a particular thing.
I want to create a 3D-diagram but I don't have for every XY coordinate a specific value.
So my question now is...can I interpolate the missing values so that I get a smooth graphic and the not existing values? Do I have to create it with Worksheet or with a matrixsheet?
If somebody could help me I, that would be great.
Thank you all.

So your data is in XYZ format, right? You can use Origin to perform gridding on your data and generate a matrix that is regularly spaced in X and Y - the gridding can be thought of as an interpolation process.
With your XYZ data in a worksheet, highlight the Z column and look at the menu. If you are running versions older than 8.0, the menu item to look for is Edit->Convert to Matrix. If you are running 8.0, the menu item is Worksheet->Convert to Matrix.
The latest 8.0 version also has better methods compared to the older versions, such as Thin Plate Spline gridding. Also in 8.0 you can directly create a contour plot from your raw XYZ data, if you wish, without creating a matrix first.
