How do you simply specify a col from another sheet (and in another workbook) in the set column values formula ?

------
Found my answer with defining range in before formula script

That works for an entire column but how do I do it if I want to call only one cell in the column?

Hi,
The following paragraph is extracted from Origin CHM help. Hope it is helpful for you.
quote:
To refer to a range of data in another worksheet, define the range as a variable, using the Before Formula Scripts box. For example, you would type something like range a = [book1]data1!col(C ) in the bottom panel. In the Column Formula panel, you could then refer to the data in [book1]data1!col(C ) using the variable a (for example, col(B)= col(A)*a).

Press F1 when Set Column Values dialog is opened. And then you can get the detailed help about your question.

Thanks
Fay
