after some create/erase cycles of worksheets i have now a big opj-file of 120MB. But the real (final) data content is only 1 worksheet with some small data content. How can i reorganise the file to purge the slack space?

Posted - 03/17/2008 : 11:10:52 PM These files were created during some analysis routines. Somehow, they were not deleted by the routines automatically. This is a bug. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
Because we discovered bug afte Origin 7.5, it is fixed by our latest version 8.0 but not Origin 7.5. We apologize again to Origin 7.5 users for the inconvenience.

Posted - 03/17/2008 : 06:12:19 AM Hello Deanna,
this is the solution for the described problem! Thank you. My file has had hundrets of .._BK-files.
I use
Del -as
to delete all datasets that are not in any worksheet and not used in any graphs. Now the size is small. Ok.
However i wonder where these many files came from?
Best regards lutz

Posted - 03/16/2008 : 9:55:25 PM Hi Lutz,
I suspect there are many loose datasets in your project. You can enter "list s" in your Script Window. All datasets should be listed. If you find some unwanted datasets, you can delete it by entering "del datasetname" in the Script Window.

Posted - 03/14/2008 : 08:43:40 AM Hi Leo,
thanks for this, but there is truly only one worksheet and the displayed size ist 7000Bytes (by right klick and properties).
I suppose that there are many broken links to internal objects, who are consuming this big space. But how can i rebuild a new project-tree to clear the broken and also not needed links?
Thank you. Lutz

It is possible that there are some hidden worksheets in your origin project, and these sheets could be created by data analysis tools of origin and set to hidden by default. You can check this by picking menu: View->Project Explorer.
Just a wild guess.
