Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.0 SR4
Operating System: XP

I would like to place text labels on a graph, and have them not move
when I rescale or zoom. I have tried going to label control and selecting "attach to layer and scales" but this doesn't work. Note that if I draw an arrow, and do the same thing, it does what I want!

Please attach the label to page in the Label Control dialog.

Deanna,
Thanks for the reply, but you still didn't answer my question.
How does one get the label to NOT move when rescaling or resizing?

Hi Jeremy.

I tried in Origin 7.0 SR4. I can make a label attached to layer and scales with the Label Control dialog. And it behave exactly like an arrow object that is also attached to layer and scales. Sorry that I do not understand what you mean by "this doesn't work". Would you please explain?

Additionally, when a lable is attached to layer and scales, it may still move when you rescale or zoom in/out on the layer. Below information can be found in Origin help file:
quote:

When attached to the layer and scales, the label is connected to the layer in terms of size and position. If you move the layer, the label moves with the layer. If you resize the layer, the label changes dimensions proportionally and moves with the layer. If you rescale the axes, the label size does not change, but the label moves so that it maintains the same XY coordinate value.
