Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7.5
Operating System: Windows XP

I am facing a problem with origin, which is resulting in many typos in my research papers.

Suppose I have made a figure in Document 1, having format 1 (with some labels, legends, etc.). Now I copy that same figure in Document 2, but want to change the labels and figures to format 2.

It appears that I can initially perform the change from format 1 to 2 in Document 2 easily. But after a while, when I try to edit the figure in Document
2 by double-clicking, it immediately goes back to format 1 (which was set in Document 1) without my control.

Do you know how can I avoid this? Thanks.

Thanks very much for the interest.
You exactly replicated my request. But as I said, it does not happen always. But sometimes, this thing appears to happen repeatedly for a number of times.

I am helpless under those conditions. Thanks again for trying. Next time, let me upload a WORD file having this kind of problem.

Hi,

I am afraid that I can not reproduce your problem. Will you met it each time when you want to update graph in 2 document?

Could you check whether my test steps is same as what you did

1. Plot a graph in Origin
2. Copy the graph (ctrl+c)
3. Paste the graph to WORD1(ctrl+v) and save it
4. Copy/paste the graph from WORD1 to WORD2
5. Double click graph in WORD2 to open it in Origin, changed plot color to red. Save it
6. Open WORD1, double click graph to open it in Origin, changed symbol size to 24 . Save it
-->Open WORD2, plot color is still red
-->Open WORD1, symbol type is still 24
