Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 7SR2
Operating System: Windows XP

Hello

I recently reinstalled Origin on my computer and am now unable to create a Matrix in order to make 3D plots (surfaces, contours, and so on). After selecting the z-column in my datasheet, and choosing Random XYZ gridding and Renka-Cline, I get a message saying that the C-routines are not loading properly and the operation fails.
Any ideas why this might be? It all worked before. Could it have to do with the way I installed the program this time? The NAG C folders appear to be present on the hard disk. Do I have to install Origin 7 (I have an Upgrade disk) on top of version 6 or is it ok to just insert the version 6 CD when asked?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Joe,

this seems to be a challenging issue. One approach to position the problem is debugging origin c codes directly. This can be done by setting a breakpoint in the ConvertRandomXYZ.c, which can be found in "temporary" folder in the workspace explorer of code builder. While if there is no such a file at all in codebuilder, you can check whether it is physically existing. In general it is put under directory: <Origin App Path>\OriginC\OriginLab
