When opening an exported AI file the scaling is changed.
I exported a 40x40 mm graph window on a 40x40mm page (all items within the page) with a 20 pt font arial text.
In the AI file the graph is scaled down to 28.838x28.838 mm (ratio ~0.72), and the font size down do 12.5 (ratio 0.625).
Under Tools\Options\Page I use "100% ratio", "margin: page" and "keep size" settings.
During the Export I activate
export settings: Margin control Page, Keep size
Image size: Page ratio, Width rescalting 100%
Still the export is scaled, and differently scaled for the fonts and graphs at that.
I do not have any idea what could possibly be wrong, any input from the pros!?

no, the final application is Corel Draw and not Adobe Illustrator but Corel Draw works 100% fine with AI imports.
On the other hand eps export is not an alternative, because text within eps files is not imported as text objects but as curves, making the imported graph look shabby (Plus one looses the text tool applicability).
Therefore I would really appreciate if at some point an updated AI (Or even CDR) export routine was available.
Waiting for that moment.

Hi Manfred,
The AI export uses a third party library and yes, there are such problems and we can see the problems too with that library. We need to look into whether there is an update available.
In the mean time, you could try using EPS export instead, and EPS files will work fine if imported into Adobe Illustrator (if that is what your final application was?).
One note about Origin 8 export. The settings in Tools->Options->Page affects only copy-pasting of graph to other applications and does not affect export. The new export dialog, as you found out, has its own settings for page size and export size etc and such settings can be saved and theme for repeated use.
