Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.0 SR1
Operating System: Windows XP Pro

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Origin 8 and I have two frustratingly interrelated problems with it. The first is that it often crashes without warning or explanation, the most common time for it to crash is on saving, which is where the second problem becomes an issue. Although the autosave works, the autosaved files are always corrupted, all the windows are still present but the folder structure is lost. This means that I can recover lost work after a crash, but doing so can take quite a while.

I am not sure if it is real or not, but it seems to me that it happens much more often with larger project files, so I wonder if it is somehow related to a memory issue.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Thanks
Brendan

Hi Brendan,

Would be willing to share your opj with us so we can check? Will send a separate message to you on how to upload opj, as you said it is large so will not work via e-mail.

Thanks,

Easwar
