Hi everyone, I am a Chinese user of OriginLab. Now I have got a problem with the display of different layers
As shown in the attached figure, which is a double-y chart. I'd like to make the six black symbol-lines shown in the front.
I have tried the "Object Edit" Toolbar, but it only works on the objects of text labels or annotations. I have also tried other ways but none of them works.
Thank you very much for helping me!

Since the six black symbol-lines is placed on the same layer, I tried to re-draw the figure in Plot Setup dialog as your telling me. It works well and thank you very much! |

If black symbol lines are located in different layer from the column bar. Then to let line lays in the front, the point is to plot the column bar first. You can try the steps as following
1. Plot a Column Bar chart 2. Select Graph: New Layer(Axes):(Linked)Right Y to add a new layer to the graph 3. Right click in the graph and select Plot Setup in the context menu 4. Add line plots to Layer2 with Plot Setup dialog -->Thus you will get line plots lays in front of the column chart

Posted - 05/28/2008 : 08:44:19 AM Hi,
The six black symbol-lines is placed on the same layer as the column chart?
If so, You can change the plots'drawing order in Plot Setup dialog or Layer Contents dialog.
Take Plot Setup dialog for example:
With Plot Setup dialog opened, make sure you see Plot List panel, drag and drop the six symbol-lines to the bottomin the list.
You could click clikc Apply to see if it takes effect.
For Layer Contents dialog, you can refer to the "Changing the order of datasets in the layer" section on page: http://www.originlab.com/www/helponline/Origin8/en/graphing/managing_plots_with_the_layer_n_dialog_box.htm
Hope it helps.
