Hey everone!

I changed the color of some of the bars in my chart manuaslly (shift + left mouse click).

Now I want to add that color to the legend revealing another colored square under the ones that are displayed automatically by Origin.

Can anybody help me how that can be done?

Thanks!!

Hi myrkes,

I think you meant CTRL + Double-click to change the color of a specific bar.

Anyway, you can create an extra empty column in addition to your Y data column, and make a bar chart from these "two" columns. Even though the second plot doesn't have any bars, it still has an assigned color, therefore also in the legend. You can change this second color to coincident same color of the specific bar in the actual first plot. You may need to adjust the spacing and overlapping between bars.
