A Mac version of Microcal Origin would be very welcome in the patch clamp
community. As you know, Origin has a plug-in for Axon Instruments Clampfit.
This is the best data acquisition and data analysis program in the patch clamp
field. The final step is to export the data from Clampfit to Origin for curve
fitting to a Boltzman equation. There is simply no substitute for Origin. I
have been using Origin on a Mac PPC 7100 with Softwindows. It is a workable
solution, but hardly the same as Origin on a Pentium. Please enable the Mac
community to participate in the patch clamp business!

In addition, Origin is the best program for plotting and analyzing
pharmacological data such as ED50 calculations. Similar software with good
graphical tools does not exist for the Mac. Please make Origin available now.
