Hello,
I am a researcher in biology working on a pest that burrow inside corm of plants.
I have a sound recording of the signal corresponding to the pest vs a lot of noise :

Here is the Frequency/Amplitude graph of the different pest signals (color line) vs the noise (black line).

We can see a peak for the pest signal between 60 Hz and 600 Hz that cannot be seen for the noise.

I want to analyse a lot of different sound records in order to detect the pest automatically in these records.

I have heard about an adaptive (or adapted?) filter which takes for input the Frequency/Amplitude of the pest signal and compare it (using FFT transformations) to the whole recording, and when there is a pest signal in the recording, the probability given by the filter reach a higher threshold.

Do you have an idea of how to do that with OriginPro 8 ?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
Best regards,

Hi Fabou,

Origin doesn't support this.

Best regards,
