Origin Ver. and SR (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5
Operating System:windows xp
I have a two column data and try to fit it by a high order polynomial eq. Such as y = f(x) = An*x^n (n=0~9). The fitting result is quite good and diversed. However, when I put a guessed value x into the polynomial, the result is totally different from the original data sheet. Why? and how can I solve this problem? |

Dear Mr. Liu
I have submitted an origin file and hope you can help me solve the problem. I have tried to increase the digits from 5 to 12. The result seems better but still I get wrong regression results.

Is the X value you used in the range of the original X dataset? If not, the situation you described may happen. But if yes, could you please send your .opj file to us and state more details about the problem. We will try to find out what has happened. You may send the file through:
